Warding off the Evil Eye
Following a centuries old tradition, many weavers attach a nazar ghorboni stone to every carpet that they weave. This long held superstition is meant to ward off the evil eye, or any spirits wishing them ill will.
The stone, which can be sourced to the nearby mountains, is part of the carpet until its pile is completed and taken off of the loom.
These small touches of tradition add up in a big way to ensure that your carpet will be a positive force in your home and in your life.
