Vintage Persian Gabbeh Carpet

In vibrant hues of red, orange, indigo, green, and gold wool, this carpet employs a unique design rarely created by traditional Gabbeh weavers. This carpet measures 4’x 5’7” and utilizes a thick and plush, hand-knotted wool Lorestan weave and a cotton warp and weft foundation. Like most traditional Gabbeh carpets, this piece pulls inspiration from the weaver’s surroundings. However, the design differs from most Gabbehs due to its three-dimensional mountain scene design.
