Representing duality in nature in Persian art, the stylized leopard elegantly contrasts the rich verdant background of the carpet’s field. The artisan adds further depth to her design as red hues highlight the leopard’s brown and cream body, and blue, red, green, cream, orange, and gold diamond spots adorn its coat.
