Derived from formal and tribal Bakhtiari carpets, this refined and romantic Bakhtiari carpet measures 10’ x 14’3” and belongs to the Orley Shabahang Transitional Collection. Utilizing the radiant red, indigo, and cream hues inspired by Bakhtiari carpets, lead designer Bahram Shabahang inspired the design with a Farahan Garden theme with Bakhtiari motifs. The overall carpet composition showcases long taupe and camel branches that interconnect many leaf and flower motifs. This Bakhtiari is hand-knotted in pure wool on a cotton warp and weft foundation.
