Qashqai Mihrab Carpet

Measuring 3’3” x 4’9”, this organically dyed, hand-knotted Qashqai carpet belongs to the Orley Shabahang World Market Collection and is detailed in dark pink, blue, and cream wool. Culturally, the significance of this design comes from the two column-like motifs on either side of the carpet, which meet at the apex designating its status as a prayer rug. The name of the design, translated from Farsi, is “mur-flower” which means “born from flowers” in English.
This carpet is currently out of stock but can be made again in a custom order.
