From the Orley Shabahang Music Collection, this red, pink, and blue wool carpet measures 5’1” x 6’10” and consists of a hand-knotted pile and foundation. Inspired by the movements of soundwaves, owner and lead designer Bahram Shabahang incorporated these movements and feelings through the textile medium. This piece, titled Heart of the Flame, utilizes the sound waves in a ripple-like motif in an asymmetrical pattern to recreate the up-close detailing of a candle flame. And thanks to the hand-knotted pile and foundation, this piece is incredibly durable and would make an ideal fit in nearly any room.
