In rich indigo, cream, and green detailing, this modern Persian Bakhshayesh carpet, titled Bakhshayesh Forest, is hand-knotted and belongs to the Orley Shabahang Tribal Revival Collection. The overall design depicts a flourishing flower garden, home to multiple caterpillars, butterfly, and flower motifs. The rich blue background, symbolizing water, was achieved by organic indigo to dye the woolen yarn. These organic dyes used to create these fabulous tones are selected today for their bright hues and fade-resistant qualities.
