This antique Persian Seraband carpet in pure wool and vegetable dyes circa 1900 features a central mirrored band design with intricately detailed and layered borders. Hand-knotted in pure handspun wool upon a woolen warp and weft, its organic design is complemented by its organic coloration of natural wools in varying neutral shades of chocolate brown, cream, and camel, balanced by earthy vegetal dyed colors including soft tones of red, gold, orange, blue and green. A delicate balance of geometric and floral elements prevails throughout the design. This carpet measures 3’7″ x 6’1″ and is in great antique condition.
