This Isfahan carpet is an ideal example of the elegance and craftsmanship of 19th-century Isfahan carpets. Traditionally, Persian Isfahan designs represent Persian gardens or baghs. The ornate medallion embodies the water fixture, or hoz, at the center of the garden. The medallion’s blue, red, gold, and green detailing provides balanced contrast against its cream background. Hand-knotted in pure wool.
