This antique Persian Bakhtiari carpet in pure handspun wool circa 1880 utilizes a hand-knotted Bakhtiari weave and organic vegetable dyes. Originating from the village of Chaal-e Shotor, this carpet is characterized by its overall geometric design and floral border. Colors of red, blue, gold, and green balance amid a deep navy field, with touches of cream and gold throughout the design. This carpet measures 5’1″ x 5’7″ and is in good antique condition.
