Antique Spotlight!

1920 Persian Jajim

This 1920 Persian Jajim with decorative poms was created using organic vegetable dyes and pure handspun wool. It is an improvisational piece intended for a variety of uses by the weaver: as a blanket, a sofreh and of course as decoration in her home. The deep copper red, brown, black and cream tones alternate to create a striking design with intricate detailing within its bands. Measuring 4’3″ x 5’6″, this Jajim is a versatile decorative piece of history. It is in excellent vintage condition.
