Measuring 9’ x 12’3″, this hand-knotted wool carpet is woven using a traditional Persian weave and belongs to the Orley Shabahang Monarch Collection. Titled Moth Wings, this piece has a plush and durable pile and modern design inspired by the intricate detailing within butterfly and moth wings. Complementing the cream background, brown, gray, gold, and green detailing contrasts perfectly with one another. Along with the tones, the hand-spun wool provides fabulous striations within the design, adding depth to the asymmetrical design. Moth Wings would make an ideal bedroom, living room, or dining room carpet.
